“Improving the Quality of Life by Improving the Quality of Sleep” TM

Welcome to The Institute of Sleep Medicine!  We offer services through five divisions that are dedicated to diagnostic evaluations and treatment for patients suffering from sleep disorders, adult neurology, medical research, CPAP medical equipment and supplies, and education.

We offer our services in the communities of
Cypress, Katy and Memorial-Tanglewood

Sleep Medicine and Neurology Associates

Our speciality group is made up of board certified sleep specialists, board certified neurologists, board certified psychologists, and nurse practitioners that are dedicated to identifying and providing treatment recommendations for sleep disorders by working with patients and their referring physicians.  Patients have a choice to follow-up with our staff or return to their own physician.

We offer a comprehensive Insomnia Treatment Program and Bariatric Pre-Screening Services in addition to our full service sleep and neurology services.

We can provide follow-up treatment for the patient’s specific sleep disorder or the patient may return to their own physician with a comprehensive treatment plan from our staff.

Clinical Trials and Medical Research

We are engaged in a wide range of medical research studies or "clinical trials" for new and more effective ways to treat sleep and neurological disorders.  Patients who qualify may be able to participate in this research and be compensated for their participation.  Please read more about our trials by clicking on the Research section.

Houston Sleep Center

Our sleep disorder centers are accredited by The American Academy of Sleep Medicine and are located within the communities of Memorial-Tanglewood and Katy.    We offer services for children ages 5 and above.   Our sleep studies are only interpreted by Board Certified Sleep Specialists.  When searching for a sleep center please be sure that they are accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.  We are two of nine in the greater Houston area that have met these standards.

Patients have a choice of where to receive their services, please research your options carefully.  Houston alone has over 90 sleep centers.  There are many sleep centers that allow physicians that are not Board Certified in Sleep Medicine to interpret the sleep studies, offer alternative treatment options that do not address the airway obstruction for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring, and order procedures that may not be indicated.

Sleep Resources of Houston & Ohio-CPAP Equipment Division

Our CPAP equipment company offers services in the communities of Cypress, Katy, & Memorial-Tanglewood a suburb of Houston, Texas.  Each of these offices is accredited by The Joint Commission.   Columbus, Ohio will open their office in the fall of 2007.  Each office offers patient support activites and lecture series to aid them in the continued success with their CPAP or Bi-Level Equipment.  We provide our patients education on the importance of supply replacement for hygiene and equipment maintainance.

Our staff offers personalized scheduled appointments to assist you in the success of these treatment options.  Our one-on-one approach allows the patient to develop a relationship with their technologist and their patient care coordinators.
